Hey my probe doesn't do it bad but I can feel a very slight vibration and my suspension is kinda ruff at times. I am not sure if my bushings are just worn out and thats what i'm feeling or if something else is wrong. At high speeds I get a very bad vibration, and i'm not sure what it is, I don't think its the wheels cause I just had new tires put on to  pass inspection. I have noticed that my sisters ford escort GT does the same thing but 10x worse and we all know that the escort GT and probe are brother and sister, so anyone with information and help with this problem please email me all of you peeps:).   Jose G

Well, at least you know it's not your tires. Basically anything in your steering and possibly suspension can cause that. When it happened to my probie I believe it was my inner tyrod, i think that's how you spell it. Anyways, many tire places do front end work of that nature. Most of the time if you're a customer, they'll check it out for free. Basically the possibilities are endless. You might want to see about getting your front end aligned. If there's anything wrong beyond that, they won't do an alignment because it's pointless, and they'll tell you what needs to be done. Good Luck! Carolyn

When I installed 3.73 gears the driveshaft was out of balance, being very careful, put the rear frame on jack stands and let the rear hang. Start the car and put in 2nd, or 3rd, and watch the shaft, it maybe moving up and down, like its shaking! The harmonic balancer is a two piece unit the outer ring is supported by a ring of rubber some movement is ok! Push in the clutch and rev it, if it is smooth, check the driveshaft! Get the Motorsport aluminum shaft.

If you get the vibration related to engine rpm only no matter what gear your in its something out of balance with the motor. If the imbalance is related to car speed only then it is most likely your driveshaft. Going from 2.73's to 3.73's increases your driveshaft rpm's about 36 percent. This makes a balanced driveshaft much more critical. The good news is your wheels will also see a 36 percent increase in torque. <br> Tom
