Vin is F15MKX00000. Have a chance to buy a 75 Explorer Supercab, needs paint, 158,000 on miles. 390 engine is locked down. Thought it might be worth something. Appreciate any thoughts. JJ

They did not make explorers in 1975. Supercab usually refers to a pickup. >

Low mileage for age. I'd verify if actual miles. Back then 100K+ was a shitload of miles, unlike today, where 158000 is "not that bad". Probably need to put a new engine in it. May want to consider something smaller than original. That thing will suck gas. Trans is another story. VIN# ?? That's before they went to todays std format. Can't say if the 0's hold any inherent value. My guess... no. BTW - you have the wrong group. The Explorer back then was a trim model of pickup. You'll want to find some Ford F-series pickup truck group. This group is for the Explorer SUV, not the old pickups. Good luck. >

Have found out that vin 00000, as you said, has zero value. Thanks for your help. JJ
