Hello, Need help if at all possible, I have a Ford 150 V8. 3 months ago it started running rough and took it to a mechanic and he replaced the ignition coil. 5 weeks ago had a rainstorm and it started running rough so took it to a mechaninc and he replaced all the plugs. Happened again after heavy downpour and same thing happened. Mechanic said the wheels are throwing water up on the engine which is getting the plugs and coil wet???? He said that the F150's are notorius for this....help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would look at the hood cowl, I have 2 f150s both 4x4 and never had the tires throw that much water inside. i would guess the hood cowl because they get worn and water passed the hood and runs off the firewall to the engine
