i looked into it and iceman makes one for our cars too. it's a cold air intake. but i've also heard that it's hard to get stuff from iceman right now. Chris 96pse too much to mention

YEs that is true I work for a car performance store and I have been keeping in touch with our distributer and they are saying that ice man only made so many of these intakes and did not expect to sell as well as they did. What I understand is that they are going to make some more so they are like on a month back order or something like that. I am plaining on setting up a bulk buy for these intakes as soon they are available for me to order.

What was the intake tube on the Iceman made of? -Lino Sacman, SCPOC '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd

Its not considered a "composite", its simply polyethylene, which is a thermoplastic commonly used in the automotive industry because it is unaffected by water and a large range of chemicals. Nice thing about polyethylene is that its thermal conductivity is about 200 times less than Aluminum, making it an excellant choice for a "cold" air intake. Unfortunately, polyethylene deteriates over time, just like about any "plastic" part does. Being exposed to oxygen and heat it just degrades, but I would imagine your car will mostly likely be gone before you see that happen, because that "process" may take 10 years. Enjoy, Bryan Pendleton
