I am looking for advice from anyone that can tell me what the first thing I should do to make my car faster? I bought a '03 GT a few months ago and I'm ready to start going faster. I won't be adding nitrous or a supercharger for at least a few years, so I'm looking for the best bang for the buck for the time being. I'm considering some 3.73 gears to start off with since my guess is this would make the most dramatic improvement in acceleration. Does anyhow have an opinion on this? This is my daily driver that sees about a 70 mile round trip commute everyday, about 90 percent freeway, will this seriously affect my gas mileage? I'm averaging about 23 MPG right now since most of my miles are cruisin about 70-75 MPH. Any insight or advice on this is greatly appreciated. Brad

If you want to gauge the effect of lowering your gearing, just try driving to work and back in 4th gear for a week.
