Hi new member with a 94 E.B. explorer. I had the oil changed at a local but national chain that happens to do brakes and shocks. They advised me that I needed to replace my shocks. Granted it's 11 years old, but they feel the same. No sagging, or extra bouncing, or bottoming out. However I am considering placing a rear carrier on my hitch to carry a sports bike. See site...http://www.motorcyclecarrier.net/motorcycle_carriers.html And figure I would need to beef up the rear a bit. Any ideas. suggestions?

When you take your X into the tire shop for rotation next time, see if the tire shop tells you that you have tire damage due to bad shocks. If they do, you need new shocks. (and possibly new tires)
