If you were to pick a model year for an early bronco, which one would it be? I have been looking for a rebuildable one, but it is hard to find specific info on the different model years.

Thanks
Tim

I can't tell you which year, I like them all. You can get tech info at www.bronco.com for the different specs for each year or other tech info at www.classicbroncs.com they have been helpful for me. Also reading the posts on this board is informative. Pretty awesome collective knowledge.

I've got a few links listed that have some great charts listing specific changes and features for each year. Go here:
http://classicbroncos.com/webmap/History_%26_Facts/

Hope this helps.

Jon Hanna
webmaster@...
http://ClassicBroncos.com

Tim,
There are a couple of noteworthy year changes in equiptment that will reduce your modification bill-1.'76 and '77 eb's are more likely to have power steering and front disc brakes-2. The '77 eb will have the "big bearing" 9" rear-more desirable housing. I have seen factory ps on late '73's and some '74's. Try to find an eb(late '72 on) that has a d44 front axle if you are going to 'wheel much, they are stronger/beefier than the earlier 30's. Check out www.bronco.com click on classifieds. Also check out www.traderonline.com
HTH,
Karl Bradley
'66x2,'74,'77
