My 1987 ranger will not start, everything else works, starter I am not getting any spark to the plugs!!!HELP

Sounds like you may need to change your distributor cap. If you're not getting spark, than that is likely to be the problem. I had that happen to my old '89 Bronco.

Hey if your getting spark and not getting any fuel check the fuel pump inertia switch located just above the hump on the pasenger side under the carpet. One time I had that switch not working so I bypassed it (used a jumper wire across the terminals) and it fixed it.
