I was thinking about putting a winch on the bronc. I wanted to do a dual mount type. I was thinking bout mounting a reciever hitch to the front of the truck and then mount my winch to a 3/4" plate and weld and gusset that dog to a solid piece of stock to pin it in the recievers. This way I could use it on my work truck too. Anybody try this yet? If so, does it work good?
Thanx,
Scott

I have a multimount on my 95, that i use on the front or back, and i just wired my 69 bronco for the same winch.

I actualy bought the multi-mount plate from a local store for about $80, it came it the handles, the pin, and a lock for that price.

also a cool thing with using a multi-mount type is the cord, I went and bought a set of 2gauge jumper cables and removed one set of clamps and replaced them with the same plug for the winch.
i have used these on many occasions, and it's nice not to have to lift the hood.

adios

Johnny

thanx Johnny...I thought it would be a good idea. I just wonder why it isn't done more often. I work at a tractor machine shop so we have unlimited supply of scrap metal that would be perfect for this job I have in mind. Im in the process of rebuilding the engine right now. Finally got the cash to do what I wanted to do to it! So the winch won't probably come in play till bout feb.
thanx...Scott
