DARN! I was ticketed while racing a mustang just tonight. and when the cop came to me and told me that I was ticketed for the blue light (LED) in my windshield washer, Im happy and pissed at the same time. Im happy coz its not because im speeding but pissed coz I dont think having a tiny LED in the windshield washer is such a big matter. im told that only police cars are allowed blue and red lights. but tell me folks, is it really illegal? im in michigan and i dont know any law prohibiting them. by the way, i lost to the 'stang.

i dont know bout michigan but most states its orange and white and red ( brakes ) only.  the windshield led's can be changed out for white ones or green or purple or whatever u want...just switch then tell him to screw himself lol  take it easy.

In Minnesota I know that our wonderful gov Jesse Venture has proposed to legalize blue tail lights don't know why I don't even think they make em but I know that the only other thing that is illegal is under body lights everything else is fine unless the cop thinks that the lights are distracting to other drivers then he'll give ya a fix it ticket which means if you get pulled over again they give you a heafty fine but the first time is not a ticketable offense at least here I would think the same would be true for all states since just about all the drivers don't know the statutes for lights in their cars but then again mn is easy on everything If you know the cops in your town you don't have to worry about tickets. hehehe lucky for me later Blake >

i installed washer leds it was a pain in the ass but now i know the easy way to do it first of all u need to borrow a dremle (looks like an electric tooth brush and is use for grinding cutting and polishing)u can pick up cutting disks for cutting through metal at any harware store (do not try to grind the hole biger it will end up taking a lot of time/money.)u will have to cut a hole about 1.5" square through 2 pieces of metal cut though them one at a time to keep from breaking disks.once you have the holes cut i recomend painting the exposed metal to keep it from rusting. ps wear safty gasses!!!! if your led lights are red i would call the poice station and ask if they are legal where u live because they are not legal where i live and i got a $70 fine after being warned twice and the lights are not cheap either. have fun >
