Hey folks, I'm a new club member here. Got a question... this might have come up before, sorry for the repeat if so. I've heard a little bit about there being some sort of short with the turn signal/windshield wiper control lever with newer Rangers. Basically, the wipers will sometime go thru a cycle without even touching the control or the turn signal. This has happened to me about 3 times in 18 months of ownership. As my warentee runs out late this month (I drive too much), I'm wondering it's worth having a Ford dealer look at this problem. There's no way I could replicate the problem for the tech. I dont really want them to rip into my controls/dash if it's not a "real" problem. Three times in 18 months does not bother me, but if this is an early sign of more trouble to come, perhaps I should have it looked at. Anyone else experience anything like this or tried to have it fixed?

Three times in 18 months? Not too bad. Mine used<br>to do it three times a day. It's a recall though. Dealer will fix it. My '97 and '99 both did it and it drove me crazy. Tech Tip: Banging on the end of the turn signal lever used to make mine work properly.
