You should be able to buy a trickle charger for less than $10 if you live in the US, there everywhere. You might want to consider one for each battery. Or, what I would do ... buy a better quality charger and cycle the charger between the batteries. You shouldn't have any trouble leaving a battery for a couple months without charging it. Make yourself up a schedule to go by.
One other thing in case your not aware of it ... no maintenance (automotive) batteries DO NOT EXIST. Ya, ya, I know ... there sealed and don't need water - say the people that sell them! Get someone that knows batteries where you live to show you how to check the fluid level in your batteries. Many, many times that's why a battery won't hold a charge over an extended period of time even when there fairly new - they are simply low on fluid!!!!! And be sure to use distilled water to fill it, do NOT use more acid.
