Hello folks, My name is Victor and I am working on a 1959 thunderbird. My brother bought it a couple years ago but got into a 57 volvo project and had no time for the bird. I ended up with it and am trying to make presentable. Not trying to restore it at this point, it needs a mountain of money to do that. So I am just putting a couple buckets of money into it for now. I am currently doing the interior, new seat foam, covers and carpet. I already got the power windows and steering working, new glove box, tail light lenses, wire wheels and a few other things. Good things about the car.... The engine had been rebuilt, brakes gone thru, new exhaust and dash pad. Run good but need the carb rebuilt. Drives great. Bad thing is it sat (before we got it) for a long time and had standing water inside. The floor board are intact but are pretty rusty and will need to be replaced sooner or later. It needs very little body work and paint.
Any Squarebird people out there?
